Amber Denison has been working professionally as an artist since 2009. She studied Fine Arts at the University of British Columbia which led her to working with metal and eventually using a hand held *plasma-cutter. After moving to Vancouver, Amber started selling her work through freelance commissions and small art sales. She participated in group art shows with galleries across British Columbia and started collaborating with an interior designer in Palm Beach, Florida. After living in Huatulco, Mexico for two years, Amber moved to Los Angeles in 2012-where she currently resides. She has worked on a short film with her sister as creative directors and has also worked on photoshoots as a stylist, model/photographer and creative director. She continues her work and exploration of multi-media art throughout the US and Canada.
*A plasma-cutter is a tool found in the welding field that works by sending an electric arc through a gas (compressed air) that is passing through a constricted opening. This process cuts through electrically conductive materials by an accelerate jet of hot plasma. |
